Friday night rec leave from the planet surface. A shuttle to the silver-glass sphere of The Lagoon zero gravity disco. Through the piano lounge in their silicon mesh the girls collect their mother-of-pearl collars and fructose syrup. Feet leave the ground and they ascend through the F-tube to the floating bar and band. Company cogs, traders, locals, strays - a lagoon of slow dance.

An exploration of an elusive musical location where dub and spiritual jazz meet laid-back disco. Recorded over two weeks using synth, two drum machines, percussion, Wurlitzer piano and guitar; with Grant on clarinet and Wei on bongos.

Originally written and recorded for broadcast on Ears Have Ears, FBi Radio, Sydney. The soundtrack to an imaginary short film, 'Friday at the Lagoon'.
